Green light sat-nav trialled in Newcastle

A sat-nav which tells drivers what speed will ensure they pass through a series of green lights is to be trialled in Newcastle.

I can imagine a situation where a local with one if these devices is told to do 10mph to the next lights while an out of town driver stuck behind them without one becomes increasingly enraged at their perceived lack of progress.

or people stop watching the lights or more importantly the pedestrians who run out just as the lights change to green having seemingly waited for it to change.
