That is the point. The road opposite me at 12 o clock is the entrance to Poole crematorium which is obviously very quiet for most of the time. This driver was approaching from my immediate right along the A349 travelling from Poole towards Wimborne Minster, and although there is a 40mph limit in force, many drivers are travelling faster as I would imagine that this driver was. This roundabout could be taken at 40 by straight lining, as there is not too much deviation involved. I was turning left 1st exit, which was in the same direction that the BMW was travelling in, so I was not crossing their path but joining the traffic going in the same direction. Although the BMW drivers speed was such that she could stop, a slower driver like a learner would have slowed her considerably, possibly forcing her to almost stop.
