So, apparently, someone disrupted a 4 hour endurance race at Brands Hatch which had 20 minutes to go before the chequered flag by - get this - DRIVING on to the track in his (Thankfully, ex-)girlfriend's Polo.

Here's a video which was shot by his friend in the back seat, who is also lacking in the brains department and - judging by their idiocy and apparent need for attention - in the trouser department too.

VIDEO WARNING: It's been shot in portrait mode, because the chap filming is clearly lacking the ability to shoot videos in landscape.

Here's the chap in question:
Zac Craig Copson

Here's a fanpage of him - by my guess, made by him.
Full Throttle Cottle

The most disturbing thing is, he isn't a stoned teenager, he is a 22 year old chap with a job.

I'm 16, and I would think I'm about 10 times more mature than him, and judging by some of his posts, I'm about 10 times more intelligent than him. (Not to blow one's trumpet, of course).

Yes saw this from another car website.

Good news is he was arrested and charged with 'false imprisonment' - I guess because he was ignoring his girlfriend's terrified screams for him to stop and let her out. Trespass? Sue him for costs due to cancelled race?

What an absolute twat - I hope they throw the book at him...dangerous and selfish.

What an absolute F-ing nob.

I should hope both of them are banned from all motorsport events in future and has a proper punishment from the courts.

Motorsports are dangerous enough without idiots like this.

Because, without having done any background research into this incident, it appeared to be
utterly absurd. Having now checked the links, it would appear that I am wrong. But it still
strikes me as being very strange, and I will keep an eye on this story to see how it develops.

Maldonado. Most accident prone driver in F1 by a country mile.

0.57 typical brilliance

Yet another example of the negative aspect of the digital world, "Look at ME".
I hope this individual will be given a punishment sufficient to deter "copycats" who might also want to endanger others. My hope is probably in vain.
Truth is, it's always been easy to do such as this at many Motorsport venues, normal sense dictates otherwise.
So probably again we will see the having to accomodate utter idiots, with more H&S at venues, virtually impossible on Stage Rallying and such as the Isle of Man.
That then increasing the cost of competition.
Always a commentary, spoken or not.
Keeps one safe. One hopes.

Aaaah, I get it now

I think his problem is not that he's a bad driver, just that... There are often obstacles in his way, cars get in his way, and the track bends unexpectedly. ;)
