It's only a tax disc FFS. I don't know why you and that "Chummy" fellow are getting so worked up about it. It's simply an observation. I was expecting maybe around 30% of drivers to remove their tax discs in the first couple of weeks and was surprised that it seemed to be almost no one. I can't believe a sane person could possibly take offence at that. If it was anyone else who started the thread, I doubt it would have had the same negative reaction.

I tell you what, I'll make a deal with this forum. If I get more than 10 individual replies to this post requesting that I have nothing further to do with ADUK, I'll take the hint and leave you all in peace. Can't say fairer than that.

As you said, "It's only a tax disc FFS" which makes me wonder why you have such a bee i your bonnet about it. You then accuse people of being lazy and/or stupid because they haven't removed them, which says more about your state of mind than mine. I am certainly not stupid, and if I'm lazy, it is because at the moment I have the opportunity to be so. If you left ADUK, I personally would not bat an eyelid, but I couldn't care less if you stay or go. If you don't feel welcome, have a good think as to WHY that is.

I suspect that everything that might be helpfully said about VED disks has been said :D

Maybe I could hold a funeral for the thread? I'm free on Wednesday....

O.K., I'll bite. To me you are no more than a minor irritation but should you choose to leave us, I wouldn't be unhappy.

I'll take that as .5 of a vote. Only 9.5 to go.

Well, I can't help feeling that it would have been more sporting of you to have announced that there was a sliding points scale.
So, what do we know? only that a "minor irritation" is worth 0.5 point. I suppose that a "Right Royal PITA" would be worth 1.0 point. Is anything worth less than 0.5 point? Please clarify.

.5 is better than 0. I was being generous. A bit of a head start, if you like.

Actually, Moderators decide. :D

Eta, that so few can get into such a thing, somewhat amuses me.
Then, some on auction sites are already trying to sell the "last" tax discs, who knows perhaps, one day, they'll be appreciating objects of desire.
Always a commentary, spoken or not.
Keeps one safe. One hopes.

Democracy is rarely Hoi Polloi
