No, your not the only one, but I also love listening to the operas of Wagner or avant garde jazz such as Charles Mingus.

As is often the case with speed limits. :)

Absolutely: some are perfectly reasonable, and I wouldn't be without them.

No, not at all; but very little of what has been produced in the last 30 years seems to work for me, though there are exceptions. Most of my enjoyment comes from classical music, or the kind of stuff that was popular between the mid-1950s and the 1970s. Examples may appear in due course.

No problem: I'm not completely risk averse.

This, from 1955, has always worked well for Eileen and me:

It was good to see that Nelson Riddle received a good deal of credit for his part in it.

Best wishes all,

Nothing new there: I'm versatile, y'see.

One day a juvenile twit, next day a thoroughly grumpy old git. :P

Well it is Dave's Diversions, so that obviously lets you in.

BTW, what was the message there? It might be good stuff, but I couldn't tell what they were singing about.

Y'see, I know it's old fashioned, and things aren't generally done this way these days, but I became accustomed to songs where we could hear the words clearly, and they expressed simple and pleasant sentiments, like this nice professional performance from Ella, with Mr Riddle again, I think:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XBvM7kcwGY

....and we had similar clarity from Barry, Billy, Dean, Dinah, Frank, Jo, Johnny, Keely, Nat, Peggy, Rosemary, Sarah, Tony, and others.

[Wanders off muttering sadly about not understanding the modern world] :?

Don't worry, I'll look in later and try to help you out with your driving problems. :P

Tune in tomorrow for a classical blockbuster, and I use that term deliberately....
