Hi from Abingdon

A place for new members to introduce themselves and give some background information as to their experience with driving, likes, dislikes etc. It is advisable to post here first before posting to other forum's on the site.

I have been tracking this forum for ages, but have been too idle to register...

I drive a BMW 330d Touring (E46), which has been remapped and is reasonably brisk - and I still get 35+mpg overall. I hold the RoSPA Advanced Tutor grade and am currently Chairman of the Thames Valley Group. I am also a member of HPC and am hoping to take a Higher Award later this year.

None of this makes me anything other than an "advanced learner", so I am hoping to pick up all sorts of tips from others in this forum.

Recent cars driven include Bentley Continental (1991 vintage), BMW M5 (2001), Jaguar XJR (2007), Porsche Boxster (2008) and VW Polo (1997). The last is my wife's regular reality check!

Welcome Paul. I wonder, have you taken part in many HPC events?

Hi Paul,

Welcome. I am just down the road in Woodstock if you fancy a drive (I am a HPC member too). Also, you might be interested in a driving day based in the area ( see viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3875) for details.
