I quite enjoyed the guinea-pig, despite the rather surprised look post-spatchcocking. Not very meaty but quite a light delicate meat, quite unlike squirrel.

My parents live in the lake district where they're still figting the rising tide of grey squirrels. They have a trap in their back garden that shuts the door when anything heavy enough to be a squirrel stands on the wee plate full of nuts, but there's a hole large enough for a red squirrel, and small enough to keep in a grey squirrel. Then they call a man who "disposes of" the greys they catch.

I keep telling them they should keep them and make a stew...

As the original poster I am rather pleased at how spectacularly off topic this thread has got. Proof, if ever it was needed, that 'where the thread goes nobody knows'.

I'm no squirrel eater by the way, but I'll take all the pigeon I can find. Outstanding in a bit of garlic and ginger.

Just saw last night's episode.

Was rooting for the driver of the X5 to get done.

I wonder what the evidence was - they didn't get any DNA? It didn't sound good when the Sgt. was narrating, but then they get a result!

CCTV caught him and the wife leaving the site, and the wife comming back.

Witnesses spotted him getting out.

Feel sorry for the other driver, there was nothing left of her car. Getting shunted at an apparent 80-100 mph, and pushed through a load of trees.

Still, 4 years for wrecking someones life.
