Greetings everyone,

This is a subject that won't tax anyone's brains, but I would appreciate a little clarification.

I will be taking a bike over to Wales at the weekend and I need to use a bike rack. The rack and bike will obscure the number plate and lights, so I have a trailer board (that I have only ever used on a trailer). However, I have been told that as it is on a rigid vehicle, I should remove the two red reflective triangles. Is this correct?

Thanks in advance!
David

Hi

Yes I am sure they are correct. However if your lighs can be clearly seen through the spokes then you do not need lights only the number plate. ( assuming you are not carrying 5 bikes on the bacl and they extend a great distance beyond the back of your vehicle)

Thank you. I shall probably wire the lights up too, as it's a convenient (and already assembled) number plate holder!

Useful to know, for the future, that I don't necessarily need to replicate the lights - as you say if they are visible and the bikes don't extend the vehicle too much.

Thanks again.
