Hi there, Im a student trying to find out about those of you who irregularly drive into a city such as London and all the irritating and streesfull things that come with it.

Perhaps you could fill in this short 8 question survey that would really help! Cheers!

Have reported this message; it's a pitiful introduction if it is in any way legitimate.

Hi Turloughfortune (interesting nickname),

We are conscious we get a few forum spammers here which are a pain and sometimes flood topics with irrelevent rubbish. Perhaps you could put a bit more detail of who you are and what the survey will be used for? You might get a better response.

Ok, apologies.

Im a Graphic Design student working on an information graphics project at the moment. With the survey above the aim is to build a new type of travel information system for people commuting into central London who may be nervous/anxious about the problems that may face them. Ideally it will highlight and filter to the specific journey the user is taking. What form this travel information system will take really depends on what the user needs and finds difficult IN REAL LIFE.

This is the reason I enquire here to find out what the drivers really think. To help drivers.

Hope that makes things clearer.

Easiest way of travelling in London is to park up on the outskirts and get a tube ticket. Around £6 for the parking around Hammersmith & around the same for a 1 day tube ticket which covers the buses too.

Sorry, should have specified, it's for people who decide they Need to go by car, possibly to bring someone to a specific clinic/hospital/theatre event perhaps with someone old or disabled or with things they need to drive and cant carry. A number of scenarios exist.

Since it is a very long time since I travelled into London for the first time I have not responded to the survey. However, the last para reads:

" Do you think a new type of travel information to help guide someone unfamiliar with travelling into the capital could help with a journey? different routes, live feed parking and help with navigation in a new way?"

Do you mean a new type of travel information like a traffic enabled satnav? My children have coped with first visits to London quite well using satnavs.
