Why not just take the test?

I want a gold pass.

Although I'm quite big-headed enough to assume I'd get a gold...I want one of 'them' to tell me I would

I wouldn't bet on "them" making helpful comments. Some of the feedback I had on my mock test was quite negative about parts of my technique (steering, use of revs). The examiner seemed more than happy however.

From what I remember of our drive, I imagine your biggest worry is to do with steering technique?

If waiting time is too long then have you considered doing the IAM and then doing ROSPA ?

Have you called them to see where you are in the waiting list? While many groups are pretty efficient, they are ultimately run by volunteers and a quick nudge may be all that's required.

Probably better not to comment on the quality of their administration though.

I've been sad enough to go to every monthly meeting, and remind the young lady in charge of the queue (when she's been there) that I'm still in existence I usually do this with my best, and most well practiced puppy dog eyes, which don't seem to have worked on her

Last time I was told I was 7th....there's been at least a couple of passes since then I think and 2 new tutors, so I must be fairly close to getting my letter of tutorage!!

So would you be really disappointed if one of 'them' told you that you wouldn't?
