well argued with good reasoned points of view :D

Seriously this fiasco has cost the rate payers of Oxford close to £600,000, largely without any research into accident statistics in the the areas that have been included into the speed limits.
The repeater signs have been badly placed in a lot of cases without any any lead in signs, difficult to distinguish where the limits start or finish. Some stretches of roads within the city have numerous changes without any significant changes in environment.

Been taking more of an interest in this since our local Council (Bath and North East Somerset) is now also considering introducing a 'blanket' 20mph limit
