I have asked Darren ( this forums admin) about a chat room, he has said yes, but its quite low down on his priority list.

Once thats up and running, you'll have a back up when TA has problems.

Poor Darren...oh Nige 'back up'. I'm sure Darren would like to think that one will be here in it's own right, rather than second best when TA is down.

Lynne.

I've no wish to "steal" TA's traffic ( neither I imagine has Darren).

This site has been down twice due to nice people hacking it, so I have every sympathy with TA's forum admin, whatever the problem is.

The two sites have a common bond, as in peoples respect for driving, without it being a "car club" or anything similar.

Is anyone in touch with TA's forum admin to know what the problem is ?

Nigel

From what I understand TA's ISP needs him to upgrade plus a server change unless anyone knows different.

I was in no way was implying this forum was 'stealing' TA traffic. I agree a common bond but the goals and reasons for both the forum's existence do branch off..

Yeah, now that I've stumbled back upon this place, I intend to be here a lot more often.

And never fear, TAers, I'll keep the boogieing to a minimum.

I've had an e-mail from FA @ TA.

The chat room caused problems with the ISP & he has been installing a new server. The server is done apparently & just waiting on the ISP to be sorted.
