Hmmm - Bristol, eh? Quite a trip, but if there are some good roads, who knows?

Well if it's worth saying once, it's worth saying twice...

I'm trying to justify the Bristol day at the moment ... a trip down is fine, but ignoring the old man who lives there might not be.

Can we try and keep this on topic for the YDD please! For those who are interested in the Bristol meet, the thread is here ;)

I've just registered. I passed the IAM test in 2005 (23 yrs old), is this course still for me? There aren't many good drivers on our roads, and it's always nice to meet other drivers that I can learn from. Hopefully I will one day become an observer so that I can pass my skills on.

It would be fair to say that everyone could take at least one thing away from the day.

I'll no doubt be along on the day, so will see you there perhaps.

Grr, I'm only *one* year too close to fogiedom :(

Can I go on the reserve list as a nearly-young-enough driver? I'm inexperienced if you think that'll help, just about to pass my driving test first time in just over a week (see my signature )

Hopefully not their teeth in a bag :p

Cheers & God bless

I would really like to attend, but before I sign up, would it be ok if I use my van? It's a Vauxhall Combo 06 reg, which is really just a Corsa with a box on the back, or would it cause problems? If so, I'd take Dad's car, but I'd rather use the van.

Thanks.

PS. Didn't cause any problems on the ADUK drive day. :)

Yes.

You can drive almost anything you like. The only requirement is to be able to legally carry one person as an observer.

Where was my invite?!

I've signed up, but I went last year so who knows if I'll get back in...

Is this strictly open to people 26 and under? I'm 28 so have only missed it by two years but as I'm so passionate about driving and making it one day into the HPC, it would be a massive shame to miss this.

If I can't make it, how can I get along to find out more about the HPC?

Would any of the hpc members have objections to me copying and pasting this event (with a link to this thread) onto a "boyracer" type forum where I'm actively trying to encourage them to look at advanced driver training ?
