I'll restart and have another look, I've had to reset the password twice now to log on.

I did give the new forum some critism, so I may have been banned

Hmm it only says:
N.B. This forum is MODERATED. Content deemed inappropriate will be removed without warning.
Nothing about blocking naughty people! But it doesn't take much to stir the Mod Police.

Right - this is driving me mad.

I cannot sign in using my members details. I can't sign in using the sign on details I gave when I signed up (if that makes sense).

What the heck is going on.

I'm not up to speed with what's going on here with the new format etc., but when I went to the IAM web site a while back it wouldn't allow me access to the forum.

Presumably one has to be a full member before one can access the forum and participate in any discussions there. I don't know what others think but I felt that was a bit unwelcoming.

Best wishes all,
Dave.

You always had to be a full member to access the IAM forum Dave.

However, I cannot access the member's area anymore either. AGHHHH!

The fact that you had to be a full member to access the e-mail list is why I've always pointed my associates here.

I found that by resetting the password, (clicking on the "forgot my password" link on the sign in page) after receiving the new password and typing it in, you get access again even when you change your password again.

Erm...I just noticed, what's happened to the member's section on the IAM site? It's just disappeared.

Oh, it's back again. It's working in IE only for me, not Firefox. :(

And I wondered where the forum had gone as I don't get emails anymore........

Good job I have ADUK to rely on! :)

The Forum is now under the Members section and is a five stage
operation to enter, with membership number and name to gain
access.
To read the postings and replies is IMO messy, the former Emails
direct to one's Inbox was much simpler.
Haven't yet seen any of the former regulars making postings.

    • Was not aware it had changed... perhaps my fault for not looking regularly... but I would have thought an e-mail circulation would have been quite easy to ensure members who subscribed were advised :( .
    • Initial teething problems, so I'll give it time to settle down.
    • Prefer this forum for layout and ease of use :)
    • Getting error when trying to access "Groups" and that page is the most important to me, giving details of local Groups so I can pass on to folk who enquire what's available to them on their area.

Sure it will settle down

I hope so - it was a useful resource for chewing the fat and the odd question that needed a quick response.

I suspect that a lot of the former users will have migrated to the Yahoo "Roadcraft" mailing list, which preserves all the attributes of the former IAM list.
