Although I haven't read somee of the books you list... yes it is worth getting. I have it, from Amazon uk. The first few chapters are a bit of a slog, but after that it gets better. It's all about approach, rather than specific technique. £9 well spent, and I'm reading for the second time ('cos I'm thick and have a bad memory! )

Steve and I have had long chats about his book - well into the night on occasions

What he has achieved is putting into the written word all the mental necessities of safe driving - something that is overlooked by the people who concentrate on the technical aspects. The driving test for example is mostly hands and feet - not eyes and brain.

It is definitely worth reading. The first read is a bit dry for people who have bothered to take their driving beyond test level but those are not the people for whom the book was written. It should be required reading for all new drivers IMVHO and people with experience won't lose anything by reading it either.
