I went to Romania about 10 years ago on business and one of the locals in the office had a 'Dacia'. I believe they are old Fiat designs built locally under licence. He used to spend every lunchtime putting things back on that had dropped off or repairing bits that had gone wrong that morning on the way to work (honest!).

Love the starter, adds new meaning to the phrase "off the line like a shot".

Don't mind the pit crew either.....

Ah - thanks for correcting me...Renault: anyone know their Renaults enough to identify the 2 cars in the vid?

Wojtek: are Dacia's still made?

If you watch the video, they tell you...
Dacia 1310 and a Lada "1.3 GTX turbo". Possibly a Lada Riva? Neither of which is a Renault...

Confused now...I thought Dacias were old Fiats (corrected to Renaults)...actually I've just found it on Wikipedia and they seem to have made Renault 12's and 8's under licence but I'm not sure if the Dacia 1310 is related.

Well, I reckon the red Dacia is based on the Renault 12. The Lada is not the Riva (a small SUV) but one based on the Fiat 124.

Great looking girls - what would it take to collect a gang of girls like that in the UK?

The Dacia 1310 is a Renault 12 copy, The Lada is a Riva (Fiat 124 copy), Lada's small SUV was the Niva

Thanks OP. How could I have forgotten the difference between a Niva and a Riva?
