Just thought it would be nice to see what people have owned in the past and a car that they have most enjoyed owning sof far?

Post pics if poss I will have to upload mine tonight as can't access at work.

Only owned two so far:
1) 1989 Toyota MR2
2) 1995 BMW 530

Both interesting to drive, give good feedback and have a reasonable amount of power.

For me, that would always be my current car. I have never changed cars, and thought that I preferred the one which I had before.

One would normally upload them to a image hosting site such as www.photobucket.com which you will need to sign up for a free account. The one simply uses ([img]) tag/address from under the uploaded image for example:

( img]http://www.photobucket.com/waremarkspics/car1.jpg[/img)

something like that.

I liek my ST170 I have now but have had nearly 3 years so getting a little bored of it, fancy a rear wheel drive car now.

I have had a white 2.0 16v i was very fond of like this one

but I really liked my 2001 Y reg Volvo s40 2.0 sport as well which was like this one but had the 16 inch t4 wheels.

On the road, I've owned lots of what others might consider 'fun' cars in the past starting with an Escort RS (fun until I rolled it), Mazda RX7 (fun until it blew up) Nissan 200 (fun getting parts) and finally a couple of VW Corrados before I saw the light and bought a sensible car

If I had to plump for one it would be this, one of the last limited edition V6 'Storms' that I sold to a friend who's still got it:

I quite like my '93 Golf. A bit boring but in terms of repairs/servicing/tyres etc and depreciation its cost me around £1500 for 3 years worth of driving. And that includes buying it in the first place!

Had a bit of a Saab period about 12 years ago.

1981 900 Turbo and then a 1987 9000 Turbo

9000 Turbo was the most amazing car i've driven, 40 - 70mph was like a space rocket! Unfortunately, the engines demise was just as stratospheric! (Piston disintegrated!)

I haven't had a lot of "desirable" cars.

Two of my present ones have given me great pleasure though, in different ways:

escort mk2 1600 sport with a ff1600 head and peco big bore, yoko a008s - wife's car in midnight blue, beautiful car, strataspheric to 70 then ran out of steam, tears were shed when you just couldn't weld to rust anymore and it got scrapped

The best car i've owned is my jeep. It pulls our boat and trailer great. Great offroad and in the summer it's great with the doors and roof off.

Its a R33 Nissan Skyline GTS. I find the handaling spot-on, loads of power and turns alot of heads!!! Only problem is that that have more than enough power to catch you out. There is a youtube video of one of my friends getting caught out when he drove mine somewhere!!

You can pick a good one up for about £3,000 now, great fun and japenese so buillet proof reliability providing you change the oil on time.

How was the handling issue resolved?

Yeah, the bigger wheels caused some caber issues. These were demonstrated when I took the car drifting. Also explains the laryness in the wet as I wasent getting full tread contact.



As the pic shows, the outside of the tyre wasent touched, so none of that would have been doing anything for me in terms of grip.


Got some ajustable camber arms to straighten things up!!
