'Geek' as in: the chap on hurricane documentary last night on C4...meaning obsessed, extreme and a real risk of boring anyone in earshot.

'Healthy' as in: interested, keen but it's only a small part of your life and not your main hobby.

To add to my huge cross-referenced database of people, places, viewpoints, email addresses and postal addresses, political affliliations, GPS tracking data and credit card info of course.

*actually I'm just interested in why people do it and how they see themselves

**I'm also quite worried I may be a 'geek' in other people's eyes.

Not.

I picked the third option (from the top).

It has eventually dawned on me that I can no longer pretend to be an AD guru, or anything of that sort, so I'm seeking success in other fields.

At the moment it's a choice between becoming a porn star, or a philosopher (strictly at the novice level, of course) and the way my back plays up sometimes I fear it has to be the latter. :(

Best wishes all,
Dave.

Sorry couldn't resist.

The one I answered is probably the closest. According to my family I fall in the geek category. I happen to differ in opinion. Although I suppose I can get a bit obsessed at times. However, 'and proud of it' is just a trifle strong for me but I certainly do not hide my interest.

A healthy interest in driving to the best of my ability and asking for what assistance I can to help me do it - and offering any if asked - is how I would describe my approach to driving. I am a bit iffy of the 'advance' tag.

Regards
Brian

I actually think your attitude and ability is spot on and well worthy of the tag ;)
