IAM 'Surety' Insurance Aka Adelaide
Posted: Fri Feb 27, 2009 2:22 pmFor anyone that has an IAM policy you might be interested to know you can now get free courtesy car insurance cover for the day your car is in the garage being serviced or repaired.
I had it last year when the IAM policy was underwritten by Axa but on renewal, the IAM policy was changed to a different underwriter and I discovered today they were going to charge for 1 day cover
. However Adelaide have confirmed they are going to provide this for all IAM policies in future.
Useful - as many dealers/garages these days don't insure their courtesy cars for customer use and it's up to you to sort it. Obviously you still need to inform Adelaide of the reg. etc but at least it's FOC.
