I'm pleased to say, the scheme I wanted is up and running.

The death of my neighbours son last year made me want to get to the young, but its taken six months, and a lot of help from people higher up the tree than me to get it moving.

We are running a three evening ( three Mondays) theory course, with a test at the end.

There will be assessment and demonstration drives for all those taking part.

The three highest achievers on the theory course will get a free IAM skills for life package, when they pass that, they will get a free session on West Mercia's skid pan.

I'll keep you all informed with how many I recruit to do it, how many complete the three sessions, and how we get on with recruiting the ones that don't get a free course.

Excellent Nigel - I know you've been working towards this for a while.

If you get overloaded with recruits then please don't hesitate to ask as we have a willing band of over 50 qualified observers who might just be up to help.

How is it going to be advertised?

Local press, local radio, & foot slogging around the youngsters is how its going to be advertised.
