I'm up in the Scarborough area over the coming weekend (20th March). Having never driven this area, can anybody recommend a few good driving roads to steer the Caterham along?

Many thanks

Suggest you play on the moors, north of the A170. As I recall, the A169 is a cracking road but if you want demanding, try out the white roads between that and the coast road. If you want to go further west, there are cracking roads in the area around Rosedale Abbey.
there is only the road, nothing but the road ...

The climb up Sutton Bank is spectacular (1:4) but a bit in land from Scarborough.

I'm sure TripleS will be along in a mo to offer suggestions.

B1248 and B1257 North and South of Malton are good.

If you want a moorland route try Hutton-le-Hole through Castleton to the A171.

Further south the B roads around Hornsea/Withernsea are a good test of technique.

A class roads round there can get full of holiday numpty processions even in March :(

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. Looking forward to driving some new roads. Here's hoping the weather holds for a bit of top down motoring.

Regards
