If you're an instructor, tutor, observer, or 'just' interested in improving, then a one-day Introduction to NLP - Neuro Linguistic Programming - course being held at Newbury College could be well worth attending.

They have a series of three days listed, with a set of evening clasees for anyone wishing to take it further.

For anyone involved in education, whether formal (teachers, lecturers, trainers etc.) or voluntary (such as IAM Observers, RoSPA Tutors) it's a fascinating insight into how training can be achieved in ways other than 'chalk and talk'.

That's not to say that NLP is just about training or coaching (although the day included an good example of how coaching can be achieved without actually discussing 'technique'). It's actually far more, and I couldn't do justice to the day in just a few sentences.

Thoroughly recommended!

Newbury College is less than two hours drive from a fair chunk of central and southern England. I don't know if other colleges run similar sessions; if not, this would be a reasonable trip and well worth the effort.
