Well, I decided to take a look at this. I went through the preamble stuff and reached the last bit.

"What country was your licence issued".

This is the standard of English language used by one wanting a PhD?
Standards of supervision, or just another piece of "research" designed to provide the "results" the sponsoring body would like?
Always a commentary, spoken or not.
Keeps one safe. One hopes.

She's a student, she's young. Let's be grateful she didn't write... wht ctry ws yur licnce isud :lol:

Afraid I take a perverse delight in answering "England" to this generic question. "UK" isn't "a country" and never will be. A bit naughty I know, and considerably off-topic :wink: . I did do the survey though.
