Thank you for those.
Unless I missed it I would like to see pedestrian casualties broken down into 'on crossing' and 'off crossing' results.
I'm not bothered about the old Romanians and Bulgarians but the Old Etonians scare me rigid.

I'm disappointed that the 'Background' section misses discussing any effect of exposure (miles walked/cycled/ridden/driven) except in terms of how the weather 'might' have affected these. I'm pretty sure figures are available for these (how reliable they are for the different modes is a moot point) and without this context the basic road casualty figures are pretty meaningless IMO.

Thanks for the link.

I'd like to see of the 1713 killed, how many of all those road users were drunk/drugged, driving stolen or uninsured or racing. I think all in those categories should be excluded from influencing speed limit reductions as they are so far out of 'normal' lawful driving they are not going to take any notice of a previous NSL being 50 or an extended 30 zone around a village for instance.
