This is the exact behaviour which prompted my thread on average speed limits. The consensus seemed to be that this was extremely rare. I beg to differ and this adds to the experiences I gave encountered.

I've had some good results by emailing companies about their driver's behaviour. Nearly got knocked over on a zebra crossing the other week, failed to get the reg but the small business owner identified the driver from my description and said he would have words and look at driver training. Whether he will or not I'll never know but it was more satisfying than the response I imagine I would have got from reporting it to the police.
