Looked online and paid for two crossings which should cover me for next weekend's ADUK Essex day, I read the prepayments are valid up to twelve months, I hope so, has anyone experience of using this payment method?

It's easier (and cheaper) to set up an account - top up £10 at a time is done automatically and it covers all the vehicles in the household (3 cars & a Lorry)

With an account, car crossings are £1.67 instead of £2.50

with one caveat - a friend of mine recently had his plate cloned and keeps getting sent bills & fines for the dartford crossing, which he naturally doesn't pay... if he had an account they would just take the money.

and yes he has reported it as cloned etc, but system is automated so that hasn't helped.

his car is a black z4.... the cloned vehicle a huge white van!
