If you have a drive let her practise parking on that, if she keeps moving it on and off in differant direction she should soon get the hang of it.

For parallel parking ...

I use this method - ok as a basic "should fit all" (should, not necessarly will) and with a little practice ...

Line up along side vehicle you want to park behind, quite close, 30-40 cm say ...

Reverse back, until rear of the car is about 1/4 - 1/2 way alongside your passenger side rear window.

Stick on 1 turn of left lock.

Once front of your car is about 45 degrees to kerb, full right lock.

If you can find a piece of grass that's not too waterlogged (some chance this year I know), use a couple of 6 foot garden canes pushed into the grass and get her to manouver the car between them at various widths.

Once she's got the hang of that, you can make a box out of half a dozen or so for her to "park" into. The canes bend or snap without damaging the car.
