Hi

Been trying to contact (Call) DSA for the past 3 days to simply book a practical test but am always told lines are busy!! Does anyone know how long it takes to attend a practical test appointment after its been booked? Example a print out sheet online from Directgov for a practical test quotes..

appointment availability data is produced on Monday each week and is correct at that time. Car: 6 weeks. Also appointment availability is calculated to be when a test center has a least 10% test appointment availability.

Does this mean after booking an appointment it could take up to 6 weeks to sit the practical test :?: :?

I'm fairly sure you can book tests online - have you explored that possibility?

Look at http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Mo ... /DG_066356
there is only the road, nothing but the road ...

You can book online on the DSA website:

http://www.dsa.gov.uk/

Click on the 'book your test online' link on the top left.

It's around 6 weeks but it does vary and if you're very flexible you can often get an earlier test slot including late cancellations.

Musicmad: have you had any professional instruction?
