"As instructors, it's really important that we have the correct attitude, because students will pick up and feed on that attitude."

The challenge is getting an instructor (or anyone) to consider that their attitude might be incorrect in the first place.

Good point. Perhaps if instructors get on a bike their attitude may change. As suggested by this course for driving instructors

Cyclists absolutely should ride in the centre of the lane. It prevents car drivers from "squeezing" past, and forces them to wait for a suitable gap to overtake properly.

Might be a better example if the riders in this video were wearing helmets though!

Why? Considering that they are not PPE, that their makers make no claim as to their benefits as protection in collisions, that people have cycled safely for years without them, that head injury rates are higher amongst (seat-belted) car drivers and pedestrians than amongst cyclists, why would wearing a piece of expanded polystyrene on ones head be "a better example" ?
