1, what is the age limit to gain an HGV licence?
2, is an HGV licence required to drive the largest Farm tractors on public roads
3, if not an HGV licence what is the requirement/

Thanks for any advice

1. See http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Dr ... DG_4022547 though I would add that few employers will even consider you for driving a Class I vehicle (Artic) until you're 25 because of the high cost of insurance. To get your Class I you first have to get your Class II (17-tonne rigid) licence. To get a Class II you first have to have a full car licence (Group B). The commercial vehicle training will cost you quite a bit, probably in the region of £1,500 upwards, each! It's no wonder there are few young drivers coming along to replace us old farts!!

2. Ditto.

Amazing what you can find using Google!!
