Handbrake and gear order

Being last in queue showing brake lights is recommended in my book where there is the possibility of another approaching from behind


This is my preferred method. I also take comfort in the fact that extra space in front of me gives room for manouver (quite literally) if an emergency vehicle needs to push through the queue and I need to get out of the way.
