Picture quality is excellent for DVD but I wish Chris would produce them in Blu-ray. It's all filmed in high definition.

They'd be even more expensive in blu-ray

I'm fairly ignorant about them - do blu-ray players not play DVDs?

The do play them, but DVD players don't play Blu-ray.

Bespoke's HD (Blu-ray) disc is £30, their SD (DVD) discs are £25. Chris' material is shot in HD, why do that and then deliver the content on DVD?

Are Blu-ray players a bit thin on the ground at this time? Is that perhaps the reason? Would it make sense to issue a Blu-ray version later, when there are more such machines in use?

You need to make allowance for my technical ignorance; I hadn't even heard of Blu-ray until they were mentioned in this topic.

Not all of Chris's target demographic will have Blue Ray so he would also need to get some done in DVD. I would imagine given the relatively low numbers likely to be pressed that it was cheaper to do it all in DVD than to split the run.

For anyone thinking about getting UDC3, I'd highly recommend it. There's really good advice on vision and observations and timing of the system, well explained and presented in an interesting way. Looking forward to seeing what UDC4 has in store...
