Discussion on Advanced and Defensive Driving.

Thinking back to the Met skid pan video posted here some time ago and the instructors quick hands I came across this chap driving a car around the TT circuit!

Have a look at this at 0.50 sec.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jSYiU-J ... _embedded#!

Now that is some quick hands, especially when you consider he's doing 150mph!

The in car video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfdgQSki ... ure=relmfu

and then he just drops it down a gear and cracks on!

I agree absolutely that it's a remarkable save. Here's a video that includes a description of what he was doing to keep the car on course, which says a lot about how important the feet are in steering.

'Only' a 115mph lap? The outright bike lap record is about 137mph. That's when having a 'moment' is going to become a life-altering event! ;)

I reckon that would have been life altering at 160mph, even in a car!
