Officer Bob?

Discussion on Advanced and Defensive Driving.

Looking at another link I stumbled across this guy. Bit of weekend entertainment:

http://youtu.be/IUx26vYe19I

Seems to be in my neck of the woods. Two videos which he certainly feels show bad police driving. I wonder if he ought to concentrate a bit more on his own driving. Wonder what his beef with the police is? He uses a lot of jargon but he could easily have picked that up from Road Wars!

I've just installed a DVR so maybe I'll find him and tail him for 15 minutes :D

It doesn't even warrant a reply, absoloutely useless video footage, just as much use as his own verbal account.

Bob's concern about the 'gross undertake' made me smile. The LGV moves into lane 2 in what is clearly preparation for the lane-drop junction a short distance ahead as it's going to continue on the current stretch of motorway. It is not, as Bob claims, 'drifting' from lane 1 to lane 2. The police car takes lane 1 as it's going to leave the current stretch of motorway.

OK, technically it is an undertake (or is it? The LGV is sort of 'turning' right, isn't it?) at the point the police car passes the LGV, but given the position and clear intentions of the LGV driver and the layout of the road ahead is there really anything to get excited about?

Bob seems to have issues :D .

amazing. I bet the officer in the van was on the phone calling for backup as he was being followed by a psycho in a Fiat multipla.

to be pedantic what sort of device was this gentleman filming this on , it sounds like he touched the device to stop the recording and judging by the resolution it looks like a camera phone but i could be wrong.........

Hi 'gadget' and welcome to the forum!

Got any questions or issues you'd like to discuss here? As long as you're polite, I'm sure you'll get a similar response. Hope to meet you on an ADUK driving day sometime soon...all welcome.
