For the Audi and BMW drivers I saw this morning. -3, dense fog and very shiny road surface. Did this put them off? Nope. Driving as normal!

Now, not that all Audi and BMW drivers are like this, but given that these are most likely RWD, it's not the best combination for such conditions, even with winter tyres. Why do they and infact most drivers behave like it's a test of their skills when the weather get like it is now?

Audis are FWD aren't they. I see your point though.

I agree that BMW drivers seem to be deluded about the ability of their vehicles, I had one try to overtake the Subaru round a roundabout on a trunk road :roll:

Interestingly I noticed that the traffic on the A40 last night (icy, foggy) was unusually timid, and in fact the available grip was pretty good (as was the visibility once you'd adjusted to the glare of the unnecessary foglights).
