Can you always avoid being forced to speed by others?

I would reason that once past the bogie at the rear of the trailer(s), you are committed to the overtake and the safest choice of exits is the one ahead.

Before then yes, abort the overtake if it started to weave (I'd see that as 'not alongside yet').

I use lane 3 lots, but then I don't really have a problem with a flexible interpretation of the speed limit. I'm just saying that the choice is made when you make the choice, not when you find the consequences of the choice.
