Every word? Is there anything right in it then?
At a technical level, no... while there might be a touch of hyperbole in my description, there's about as much truth in the article as a Wikipedia entry on North Korean politics.

If you could just precis the pertinent points...
StressedDave wrote:If you're serious about finding out the physics behind all this, I recommend (to be read strictly in the order shown):
1. The Racing and High Performance Tire - http://insideracingtechnology.com/booktiredescrptn.htm
2. Drive to Win - Carroll Smith
3. Race Car Vehicle Dynamics - Milliken & Milliken
4. Tyre and Vehicle Dynamics - Pajecka
5. Multibody Systems Approach to Vehicle Dynamics - Blundell and Harty
4 and 5 are strictly optional and best suited to those who really, really like the solution of partial differential equations and writing their own vehicle dynamics models. The trouble is there are some nice gems in those two books that aren't really that well detailed in the others. (Pajecka wrote the book (literally now...) on tyre modelling and behaviour, whilst Harty was the Chief Engineer at Prodrive in the Rally era so has some interesting thoughts on how to define and measure driver and vehicle performance.
No, you can't borrow my copies...

StressedDave wrote:I would caution against using Don's website as the truth about vehicle handling. It's an invaluable resource about thinking about what the car is doing, but it's not actually representative as to what is actually happening.
