Anyhow, I'd look into Ross Bentley's "Speed Secrets" and Carrol Smith's "Race to Win". Do keep in mind, however, that there is some modern racing wisdom that is unconventional by Bentley's, Smith's et al standards, which is used on the high-end of racing nowadays.

These include a parabolic line coming into the corner, engineering straights and shortening corners (by a further direction change towards the exit), V-lines for corners, diagonals and even intentional sliding of the car.

To find information about these, I'd look for any written or recorded word from more up to date racing coaches like Rob Wilson, or those that can shed light from an Engineer's point of view like Don Palmer or Ed Dellis.

Much of what there is to be learned is also not about driving technique per se, but about race driving as a business and a competition.

Speed Secrets by Ross Bentley is good, there are several editions, I read the second edition around 10 years ago..
