Beautiful, well done Rick! A mate who I used to go out for "blasts" had one, he loved it, toured 2 up on it, did track days on it. One of the best 900cc does everything + sports bike!

Wish you the very best with the new toy... hopefully some good days left before the winter weather sets in... already had frost up her, but over the past couple of days we have had far better (warm & sunny) weather than you have had.

Is that what's called being frigid?

Could be  but are all bikes and boats not female :D

Irrespective of my typo... we have had ground frosts locally, but the past couple of days were great... overcast and cool today though.

This time of year has great memories for me. I got my first bike Yamaha RD200 in the autumn of '75 and the combination of coldish, crystal clear bright sunny mornings is wonderful.

Do you use your bike all year round Rennie?

Yes, but as I now have a choice, I avoid snow / ice and try to avoid the wet roads once the salt has been spread. A damp salty film over the bike for a couple of months or so is a certainty for promoting corrosion
I will test all year round but outwith BST I do not want to be the sole reason for a candidate being out on roads... and perhaps facing unnecessary hazards.

I use my other bike (CB500) all year as i have to commute through Hull and it is a nightmare in my car. But the Ninja will be saved for sunny days. So it wont be doing many miles!

WARNING.

I had the same idea... use the K100RS for IAM work and A to B runs, keeping the new K1200S for holidays and nice weather.

1st K1200S covered 18,000 miles in under 2 years... K100RS covered 6,000 miles in the same time period. Current K1200S has covered just under 5,000 miles in 2 months use whilst K100RS has not turned a wheel in the same period.

...you have been warned
