Im not a biker but just been watching this vid but can appreciate the level of skill and nerve it takes to ride a bike through traffic like that, excellent ride i thought and an equally good commentary.

Ditto.

I'm not a biker, but that looked to me like nice efficient progress - swift but restrained, and very courteous to those who helped him.

Best wishes all,
Dave.

Sadly, PC Phil Curtis, the rider featured in the first (heli) sequence and chatting with Troy, died a couple of years ago.

That helicopter viewed link was on the A338 towards Wantage. My favoured route if I'm heading up that way. 8)

I think you also know the other rider doing the dodgy overtakes, also kevin Fitzpatrick driving the car being overtaken.
The commentary was put onto the track after.
Sadly Phil suffered a heart attack :(

A very nice triangle is that road, the section from Wantage to Newbury (as featured in the clip on Youtube from Chris _____ [insert name of ex-Met chap :) ] and the bottom of the triangle from Newbury across country.

My wife and i used to ride with milton keynes IAM group (and some of the police)Me on my yzf1000 her on her cbr400 fireblade.
We now live on the Isle of Wight and went out with a bike club (not IAM) and we came to a national speed limit and some of the group would not go over 40mph even though there were no other cars ahead
