Let's hope the dead-brain 4x4 driver didn't run the rider over!

Watching frame by frame it is easy to see that the bike moves across in front of the car, right to left within lane 1, as if it had come from lane 2, and appears to be slowing.

I imagine the biker spotted the junction and wished to get off, so was thinking to slot in at a safe distance behind the maroon car without necessarily checking the traffic behind and to the left.

The car tries to move to the right to avoid the bike. Is anyone sure that the car driver is wholly to blame?

This video was posted and commentated on PH a while back. The inital reaction was "numpty car drivers", but as Gareth points out, it looks like the bike cut in front of the car on slow replay.

Most of the biker thought it was the car's fault, and a lot of the car drivers thought it was the bikes fault. Which was probably a more revealing conclusion than anything to do with the incident itself:- riders and drivers are different tribes...

Shocking !

What is your opinion about where fault lies?

All this really illustrates is that irrespective of where the blame might lie... the biker comes of worse in any collision :( .
