Advanced driving taster day – Hants, New Forest, Dorset – 11th September

Ever wondered what advanced driving was all about or just fancied seeing if you can better your driving?

Announcing a "taster" day to give people the opportunity to see what advanced driving is all about and whether it's for them, as well as getting some feedback on their driving. The routes will be in south Hampshire, New Forest and the border with Dorset. The day will take place on Saturday 11th September and is open to all irrespective of driving experience.

The format is each "tastee" is paired with an experienced advanced driver and each person takes it in turn to drive their own car around one of the short suggested routes, (35-45 miles), with the other person navigating and offering feedback (all the coaches appreciate feedback too). The plan is that this takes place in a friendly, informal atmosphere, so that everybody has a good time and ends up wanting to do it again. Ideally everyone learns some more about driving as well

More information is available in the Members area of the forum under Advanced driving taster day 11th September (Driver Network). If you would like to know more but haven't already joined, please use the Join/Register link in the horizontal menu bar underneath the banner image at the top of each page. It is free to join ADUK and the only costs for the Driving Day are your own fuel and refreshments.

Times and meeting locations for the day:

Dawn raid - meet at 6.30am at McDonalds (just off the Ower roundabout - post code SO51 6GF.)

The morning session starts at 9am at Mortimer Arms (Romsey Road, Ower, SO51 6AF), with lunch around 12.30-1.00pm. (Mortimer Arms provide food from 8am.)

This means the day can be dawn raid+morning session, or morning+afternoon sessions, or all day.

Routes will be sent out to attendees before Saturday.
