This month, Advanced-Driving.co.uk, the UK's largest Advanced Driving
related website celebrates it's 2nd birthday.

The website now recieves over 80,000 visitors a month, interested in
various aspects of Driver Training, especially looking for tips and
techniques on how to avoid having accidents from the experts who
contribute to the site.

The site is growing all the time, as well as our internet popularity
putting a fresh face on Road Safety for Young Drivers.

Our main aims are:

1. Gain recognition of Advanced Driver training as a long term road
safety solution.

2. Campaigning primarily for better driver education in the highest
risk age group, young driver's under the age of 25.

As part of our 2nd Birthday Celebrations Advanced-Driving.co.uk are
extremely proud to announce becoming a recognised Advanced Driving
Club with one of the UK's most succesful insurance brokers Adrian
Flux.

ADUK and Adrian Flux are keen to promote road safety and as a reward
to provide the most competitive insurance discounts to Younger
Driver's ever announced in the UK, with a potential total of 40%
discount on offer for those who really care about their driving
standards.

Adrian Flux will offer any Advanced Driving UK Member up to 15% (1)
off their car insurance, and even better if you become Max Qualified
(2), you could get a further 25% on top with insurer's from the 40+ on
Adrian Flux's panel who are part of the scheme.

Secondly, Advanced Driving UK are currently in the process of putting
plans into place to encourage up to 10,000 Under 25's in the UK to
take some form of Advanced Driving test before 2010 as a "10k by 2010
initiative" to make a significant contribution and hopefully a
reduction in Young Driver deaths in the UK.

As part of this initiative we are delighted to announce that the first
scheme of it's kind and hopefully the first of many under the
Advanced-Driving.co.uk banner has been setup at Staffordshire
University to encourage undergraduates to take responsibility for
their own skill behind the wheel with the hope of taking an Advanced
Driving test as benefit to their driving lives and their back pocket
by taking advantage of the potential insurance discounts on offer.

maximum on offer from the Adrian Flux's panel of insurers. Where an
Underwriter does not support the Adrian Flux Club Scheme, the most
competetive quote on offer will be supplied.

(2) Max Qualified 25% Discount for renewal of IAM Full Member (Does
not include Associates) or RoSPA Advanced Driver or Rider on Policy.

Club Members are responsible and accountable for disclosing their own
IAM and RoSPA membership to the Insurer's to claim the Max Scheme
discount.

Addenda: RoSPA Advanced Driver's "ARE" included in this scheme, for anyone who got confused with the above or read it as they weren't.

I can understand giving young drivers an additional 25% when they pass a relevant test but why give them 15% just for being an ADUK member.

I'd rather see insurance companies offering realistic quotes for young drivers who have made a conscious effort to improve their driving, rather than simply registering on a website.

Sounds like their premiums are loaded with an extra 15% by the sound of it.

If that is the case then i doubt they will get any customers. I would imagine most youngsters (sadly not in that bracket any longer) will go for the cheapest regardless.
